"Coming together is a beginning,
staying together is progress, and working together is success."
Henry Ford
Success in school requires teachers, parents, and student work together.
Each has a special and specific role to play in the educational process.
If one or more of these individuals is not participating fully, then success
in school is harder to achieve. What do you want from your education team?
Cooperation or Conflict?
Partnership or Disengagement?
Ease or Stress?
Understanding or Unawareness?
Confident or Reticent?
Enthusiastic or Uninterested?
Empowered or Indifferent?
These are the options that face every teacher, parent and student. Our
choices are not always the most productive; often they are made unconsciously
or are simply an emotional reaction to a situation. They do not have to
be. There is another way. Teachers, parents, and students can work together
with ease, a spirit of cooperation, and trust to ensure a positive, productive
and valuable experience for everyone involved.
Educating teachers, parents and students to be effective communicators
and team builders can help everyone to:
Work smarter, leveraging their strengths
Build high-functioning partnerships and teams
Ask for and receive support
Create a vision of what is possible
Effectively advocate for what they need to succeed
Solve problems quickly and productively
Children are our greatest natural resource. Let's provide
them with the best chance to succeed.

their parents. I see the payoff everyday in all aspects of my life."
